Exciting times at Memrise HQ! Recently, we were invited to watch an advance screening of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish at the Universal offices. Why? Well, you might know that we did a partnership with DreamWorks Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, which involved making a load of awesome Puss in Boots-inspired Spanish lessons to celebrate the release of the movie. You can check them out here. Go on, they’re great. Even if we do say so ourselves...
Anyway, as a bunch of multilingual language nerds, we thought one of the best things about the movie was the playful use of Spanish sprinkled throughout. If you already understand Spanish, give yourself a pat on the back and feel smug when you go to watch the movie (which is absolutely brilliant, we might add)!
If you’re learning Spanish, maybe you were left wondering “what did Death actually say at the end of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish”?. Or even “what did Kitty Softpaws say to Goldilocks and The Three Bears in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish?”.
If you are asking these questions, we’ve got you covered. Below, you'll find a list of the Spanish phrases used in the English language version of the movie, along with their translations. And with no spoilers (we hope).
